Stress bars?
I got wasabi a new cage and set everything up wednesday. He's been in there pretty much undisturbed except for feeding and misting. He was in a 10gal, and he's over 7 inches now so he was getting kinda cramped. His new enclosure is a black 36x20x18 cage from dragons4you. The temps are almost the same as they were in his old cage: 84 on the cool side, 108 basking spot. He has a hide, a hammock and a basking log. Substrate is tile. The bulbs are a regular 75 watt on a timer and two UVB bulbs (from November so they aren't very old) I cover the front of the cage with newspaper to keep my cat from bothering him while I'm at work. His lights are on 9am to 10pm
He is eating, pooping, thermoregulating, sleeping, and doing his normal beardie stuff but since I put him in this cage he's been dark. Dark beard and dark belly.
I haven't been handling him, and won't for another week. The cage is opaque on all sides except for the door and no one really bothers him. He has enough room to move around and things to hide behind/under/etc.
Give him more time to settle? Block off part of the cage? What do you guys think.

Re: Stress bars?
I would give him some more time to settle in to his big new enclosure. If he is still the same in another week or so then you might want to try to block off part of the cage. I'm sure he will settle in fine just give him some time ...:gj:

I agree with action....he just needs some time to love it. Sound fantastic!

Re: Stress bars?
Sounds like you've got pretty much everything covered. He should be fine within the next week or so.
