    Breeding Size
I've read a lot of conflicting information on how big a female bp needs to be before she breeds. What rule do you guys use? What are the consequences if you do breed to early?

I appreciate any and all help! :please:

The general consensus I've seen on this forum seems to be that a female BP should be 1500g for breeding as a general rule. Smaller than that may not be healthy for the female. It could also result in smaller clutches and less viable eggs.

MY rules for my animals, the bigger the better :gj:

It is also a combination of weight as well as age.

While I would not breed a 1200 grams female who is less than 18 months, I have no problem breeding an older animal with a lower weight.

But my favorite is to breed big girls ;)
