SoCal keepers willing to donate supplies to help a rescued bp?? :)
I took in a 2yr old severely neglected bp nearly two weeks ago and have spent literally all I have on supplies to nurse him/her back to health! It's working, Sam is willingly eating every 5days like the starved little snake he/she is!
I have found a generous reptile rescue who has extra tanks willing to give one to me at no cost since poor (over 2 foot) Sam has been kept in a 10gallon small tank.

I have bought all I can afford, now my dilemma is I need another heat lamp to sit on top because the small one I have won't heat a large tank well. I've been using a human heating pad underneath, but I'm not sure how long that'll last since it's on nearly 24/7. I would appreciate any bulbs since those seem to be so expensive at pet stores, and just anything anyone would be willing to donate.

The only reason I ask is because the majority of keepers here seem to be so kind. I live in the Inland Empire. Hopefully someone is willing to help a fellow keeper give a ball python the great life it deserves and was deprived of for two years. I absolutely love this little snake! :)

I live in socal and when I get a rack I would be willing to donate stuff to you... give me a list of what you need and I'll let you know if I have it... funny I just rescued a neglected BP named Sammy too (I changed it tho b/c its a female lol).

In the meantime I would suggest e-mailing people on craigslist who have setups for sale... I have listed tanks on CL and I barely get any responses so if people are looking to just get rid of their setups they may donate them to you! Just a suggestion.

I was actually planning on changing his name to sammy if it turns out he's a she. Lol I'm not sure until I visit the vet.

And I've actually had luck on CL! A reptile rescue is giving me a tank on Tuesday (hopefully they don't flake). If I get the tank all I'll be looking for is a heat lamp(if the one I have doesn't heat the bigger tank well), a UTH (since I'm currently using an old, human heat pad), and fake plants/hides. :) I might've found a cheat heat lamp on CL though!
