    wondering
hey guys how hard is it on ball python eggs to drop to 80* for a couple hours? is that long enough to harm them?

I'm sure they'll be fine if it was just a few hours, eggs are pretty hardy However you have to keep the temps consistent. Good luck..

    Hi,

Do you know why it was that low?

Because that would scare the bejeebus out of me.

it got that low because im an idiot! somehow my heat coil got unplugged from my herpstat. not sure how but something i obviously did by accident on my lunch break. it must have happened around 1:30 probably held its heat until 2:30-3:00 and sat at 78* until about 5:30. i sure hope their alright.wheres the simile face beating his head against the wall when you need him!

    Here, :slamhead:

    :P

As long as you know what caused it it should be possible to stop it happening again was what I was hoping to hear.

If it was a mystery then you would never have known if it was going to happen again - and that would drive me so far round the bend I'd come back with souvenirs. :rolleye2:

They are probably fine. A heat drop is a lot better than a heat spike!
