    Baby albino???
I have a baby albino and was wondering if it is normal for them to have a blueish grey color on their lower belly?? She is so light - it's like you can see a strange color thru her skin. It is primarily noticeable in her bottom portion near the vent.

    Is this normal???

When was the last time she went to the bathroom... Could she be getting ready to?

Pictures could help, but I think I know what you're talking about.
With lighter colored snakes, it's not abnormal for them to be almost transparent-like as youngsters, so if your snake hasn't defecated yet, you're probably just seeing that because it's darker. Usually they'll become more "opaque", if you will, as they age.

No she has not pooped yet. She has eaten twice for me so far. I posted earlier about her not pooping - was told not to worry about it.

Yes it almost like I can see a popper coming down the pipeline.

This is my first white snake

I thought of a better way to describe what I am seeing - its like when you see a young toddler who is really fair skinned and you can see their blue veins thru their skin. That is what I am seeing on my snake - a blueish hue underneath her skin in her lower portion of her body.

Just wanted to be sure it was nothing to worry about.

Just an update....I soaked her for about 10 minutes and then she went poop - the blue tinge I was seeing must have been the poop in her bowel because it is gone now that she pooped.

It seems I worried for nothing

There's nothing wrong with being concerned. If in doubt ... ask. That's how we all learn (myself included). :)

Glad to hear that she just need to deficiate... I can understand concern. the first time my pied when into shed all his white turned pink. I made a phone call to the breeder asking what could be wrong. He just laughed and said that it was going into shed. 3 days later he had a perfect shed and no more pink color....lol

THis is my first albino and I wasn't aware at how translucent they are when they are babies. I weighed her once she was empty and she has gained about 35-40 grams since I got her 3 weeks ago - so she is growing. Her colors look so much more vibrant already - can't wait to see her at her full potential.
