Two young female Royals in one viv for a short while .... ????
Just wondering if it would be ok to keep two young female Royals ( 15" ) together for a short while ( months) ???

Although it's really not ideal, a month or two shouldn't hurt the snakes as long as they don't have to compete for hides, heat or food. Make sure the enclosure is big enough that you can fit two hides on each end and maybe you'll want to feed them in different enclosures to prevent food competition.

Again, I seriously would advise you to get them separate as soon as possible, but if it's only for a month it won't be too bad as long as you know that they are both healthy and don't carry any parasites (i.e. if you've had them for a while before moving them into this setup). However, for anything over a month and a half I would really only do this as an absolute last resort.

    Thanks.

Its only a very slight possibility at this stage.

I always feed all my snakes in separate containers , never in their vivs.

Okay. Definitely try to avoid it as much as you can though! :)

    Hi,

Are they coming from the same source at the same time?

Otherwise I say a big no on quarantine grounds.

Well they are both super healthy and good eaters , I am just concerned about the rare possibility of cannibalism . nothing else.

    Me I say no. Why?

Because I believe if u cannot house them individually than do not get them. If you cannot provide the "proper" environment for them, then simply do not get one and or both.

Sorry im not trying to sound mean just some people are wanting to house 2 snakes together till they can afford a second home for the one. If u cant afford it, dont get it.
