Back Heat in my 15 qt tub rack

I have a 10 tub 15qt rack system with 2 3'' back heat strips heating the rack. The question is that my house is set at 70 degrees and i cant seem to get the heat to where i need it in the rack. I have my ranco set at 110 but i was wondering do you guys ever set your ranco higher and is it bad for it to be set at like 114 or higher?

Pictures would help.. and are you measureing temps with a probe thermometer or an instant read thermometer?

you may want to look at your rack design if you have to set it that high.... what are your temps at now? It won't hurt anything to set it higher, i know flexwatt can run at 125 without damage, just odd you would have to set it that high.

I am measuring with a instant read thermometer and a handheld digital thermometer the handheld when i put it all the way in the back of the tub by the flexwatt it will read about ambiet temp 76. If i put it in the front of the tub its about 72 to 70 i will get some pics as quick as possible.

do you think that its because my house is set at 70 degrees but last winter when i lived else where i had it even cooler and my temps stayed but i also did not have this rack either at the time

I just don't see where all the heats going, I mean your putting thin plastic against something thats 110 degrees and its coming through at 76? measure your heattape with the IR gun (btw guys IR means infrared not instant read), something just seems weird, i mean my house is at 70 degrees and my thermostats are all set around high 90's, low 100's

I will do a videos tomm morning and give all data and maybe we can come up with a conclusion if you dont mind checking it out and seeing if you could help thanks again and i will see what the tape is reading with the IR gun
