Just curious on what you guys think
I am looking to buy a male to add to my breeding collection within the next few months. At first I was looking not to go over $1000 so I was thinking a spinner or a g-stripe. I was leaning more toward the spinner being that it gives me more possibilities when breeding to a normal or pastel female (which I am planning to do with him the first 1 or 2 years atleast). Well i ran it through a friend of mine that has a very nice collection and he said that he has a spinner male as well as a g-stripe male so I should get something else where we could switch out males down the road. So my next option was a clown, but there again it doesnt give me many options. I am looking for a variety in my clutches. So I decided that I would save a little more and give it 4 or 5 months and just go with a spinner blast.
Now all of the animals I mentioned I have always liked and would love to have them in my collection one day. The reason I think I will go with the spinner blast is that it gives me a crazy variety when put with
Spinner blast x normal
12.5%Normal
12.5%Pastel
12.5%Pinstripe
12.5%Spider
12.5%Bumble Bee
12.5%Spinner
12.5%Lemon Blast
12.5%Spinner Blast
and
Spinner Blast x Pastel
6.25%Normal
6.25%Spider
12.5%Pastel
6.25%Pinstripe
12.5%Bumble Bee
12.5%Lemon Blast
6.25%Spinner
6.25%Super Pastel
12.5%Spinner Blast
6.25%Killer Bee
6.25%Killer Blast
6.25%Super Spinner Blast
I find that is hard to beat. I only have 2 other males in my collection which are a Pied and a pastel. Thats why I am looking for something that will give me a wide variety. I am planning to hold back most (if not all) the females and all the high end males.
Thank you for reading and I would love to hear your feedback being that I am still very open to suggestions and really just want to make a smart purchase:gj:
Re: Just curious on what you guys think
I would save up and get the that powerhouse spinnerblast. You won't regret it. Considering you already have a recessive pied, I would go for more co-dom stuff. Maybe work in your pied genes at some point. Codoms are just a lot more versatile and always yield visual morphs. You can breed your spinner blast to 3 female normals or pastels and get some serious production! That won't happen with a recessive like a genetic stripe. I think you already know what to do. If you buy the spinner now, in a few months you will regret not saving up and getting the spinner blast.
Still, you are in a pretty good position if your hardest choice to decide WHICH amazing morph you want to add to your collection ;):taz:
