    Male or female?
    MY ball python is eight months old now, and we still dont know if its a male or female,i live in newfoundland and as far as i kno theres not any people around my area that will beable to sex a snake and also if i do go to them its expensive ..

    is there anyway me and my boyfriend can figure out if our lil one is male or female our selves ?

    I would say just call around to pet places and see if anyone has experience probing them. I wouldn't recommend you or him doing it. As far as a simple way there is no way really to tell that wont hurt them if ether of you dont know what your doing

    If you want to give it a go, look on Youtube, there are several videos about it, but be cautious. However, I would advise you to find someone who has done it before to help you along a bit.

    I wouldnt advise probing the snake yourself. I was shown by a breeder how to do it on a test thing I went as slow as possible moved a tad bit to much and I would have torn the female. I will leave it up to the people who know w hat there doing I pay 10$ to get mine done

    why does everyone want to probe their ball pythons? I learned to pop from youtube videos, if you can't find anyone to show you, look it up.

    yea, well im in newfoundland, the pet place down here to bring in any type of pet is expensive to get it checked and i asked around and haven't been able to find anyone !


    i was told you could somewhat tell by the tail ? but its not completely right

    head shape and tail shape tends to have a certain look but its by no means 100% accurate, I know a couple that are usually right about 95% of the time just by looking at them, but there always that 5%, have them popped, no guess work.
