Post coital poo?? Caution -- picture!!
This is my first try at breeding. I just introduced my normal female and male spider on Thursday. I seperated them this morning, and then about an hour later I noticed this in my male's tub:

This doesn't look like anything I have ever seen come out of any of my snakes. Would this excrement be evidence of copulation?

The two snakes seemed rather "friendly" with each other, but I didn't get a 100% confirmed lock. And this is the first year for either of them breeding.

I'm just an anxious, new breeder, so sorry if this is a ridiculous question.

    Thanks,

I can't honestly say I've ever seen that spotted feces. I haven't observed anything like that after copulation

I have seen this once in a while in one of my tubs, usually from a snake that has been off-feed for a while. Not sure if there is any link to breeding though. I can say that I have never seen any problems resulting from it either though.

Looks like mostly urates with a tiny bit of poop. I agree, probably a snake that hasn't eaten in a while?

Thanks for the replies. I guess I will just mark it off as coincidental to happening the same time as his first breeding attempt.

I don't know what the reason would be that his excrements looked like that, but it definitley isn't due to lack of eating. I have had him for a year, and he has never missed a meal. And the longest he has ever gone between feeds is 7 days.
