Voice Commands Are Too Easy! (Athena Video)
Athena is a super fast learner and gets bored quickly. Once she learns a new command I convert them to hand signals only. This wasn't the best video I took because I had to say her name a few times, but Thor is sooo cute  That's the only trick he knows!

And if you really care I took a video of teaching her 'other paw' for the first time. It literally took her the length of this video to learn it, 1 minute and 20 seconds. I never realized how quick she learns till I saw the time on the video! I've received a few messages on youtube to put more videos of Athena doing tricks/learning etc so I finally did it!

I just taught her high five and shake a few weeks ago, so those are her favorite tricks right now (she gets treats for new tricks).
    Part 1 learning the trick.

Part 2, doing the trick. I think it goes without saying, but I'm not a professional dog trainer. I'm sure someone has a critique, this is what works for Athena and I.

I have to comment on how high she hikes that paw up! And she's soooo shiny! She's a beautiful dog, and looks like she has QUITE the personality!

She's SO pretty!! And Thor is adorable!

Mira LOVES to give her paw, but she gets overly enthusiastic about it sometimes and really slams it home. LOL She gives a powerful "high four"!

Thank you! Thor makes me laugh all the time. It does seem like dobies LOVE to do anything that involves their paw flying through the air! A 'high four' I love it! I might have to change the name of that!

Thank you! And don't feel too bad for her. She's the reason why we don't have carpet or rugs anymore (we've been through two rugs since I ripped the carpet out in November). So now I tell her it's her own dang fault the floor is slippery!

Can you see the problem I came home to? This was during her first week out of her kennel 24 hours a day.

Later that day. The cats and I got that done within a few hours!
