    My female wont eat any thing but when my sister parakeet landed on the side of her cage she seem soo interested and imdeiate striking posion like she knew what it was. and struck at the glass, do you guys think that a baby chick would be a good iead for her to eat?

    I would be worried that if you fed her a chick that she would no longer want to eat rats. How big is she, and how long has it been since she ate?

    novermber 7, she kinda loosing weight too. about 3 feet long and normaly thick but her skin it geting loose

    She's been off feed for 4 months? What types of things are you doing to encourage her to eat? I will tell you that you may receive lots of questions about your husbandry, temps and such. If everything is spot on, at some point she will eat.

    My Fat Girl Nico, (who isn't so fat any more), went off feed because she had an infection. I had the vet tube feed her, and I will again this month. I guess my point is to say you may want to rule out everything as a cause of the fast.

    PS - don't baby chicks have beaks? Could that be a cause for concern?:confused:

    im not sure about the beaks iv seen other snakes do it before. she sees the vet ever 6 mounths she went last in september. temps are spot on all on a thermostat she even has a humdifer for her cage. keeping it at 50-60% i go to cornell up in ithica, NY for her vet
