    Proper Temps for a incubator
    trying to get everything set up

    also was wondering on the containers you put the eggs in you cover the top with plastic correct?

    88 to 90 degrees is the common temps to incubate at.

    I use 7qt locking sterlite tubs..

    I don't cover my tubs with plastic I allow them to breath.
    I use the substrateless method with light diffuser panel and soaking wet vermiculite under that.

    I have a 25lb bag of hatch rite so hopefully that will work :) lol I already have the proper tubs for the incubator just wanted oto double check and make sure the temp I thought was correct.

    I used from 88-90 degrees for the last clutch. I also used hatchrite with glad press n' seal on the top of the tubs.

    how did your clutch go with the hatchrite? and any problems using the press n seal?

    Everything went great. I added a little water around the edges towards the end but other than that it was completely hassle free. No problems with the press n' seal, it helped me keep the tub at 99% humility during the entire incubation.
