Indicators of impending shed on Albino
Hi, I am new to having Albinos and was wondering what indicators I can look for to know that a shed is coming. Since they are sooo light in coloring it seems that we wouldn't notice the dull look like I do on my other bp's.

The only thing I can assume is that their eyes go from bright red to a pinkish color - is that the only clue?

My new albino was in shed when I got her and I didn't know it because I had never had an albino and didn't know any different.

I just want to be aware next time so I can be sure to bump up her humidity in time.

    Thanks.

Yes their eyes are a definate clue but they will also get duller yellow in color. Their bellies will turn like an off whitish sort of color. And sometimes on their skin you'll get these brown almost dirty looking patches. My female will get these little spots every once in a while and they are gone after the shed. I took a picture of it the first time I saw it. I'll try and find that. It all depends on the animal, albino variation etc. You just will have to learn the signs to the individual albinos.

Dullness in color, and if you catch them at the right time a faint pink overall their body (like how other bps get a pink belly).

Sounds like poo and/or other dirt. :D

Mine loves to get poo on herself. (the dark ones do too, it just isn't as obvious!)
