Exciting times!

I(ok, we. The new BP is 'officially' mine and my daughters) just got to take part in my(our) first feeding. The breeder had me slightly worried, since he'd done all live feedings, but Paco handled his first F/T feeding with aplomb.

Paco is a pastel male, who weighs in at a whopping 56g and is settling into his new home of a week beautifully.

I've been reading up on BP caretaking on the forums for about 3 months now, and finally took the leap from geckos to BPs last week. Thanks for all the good advice I've been reading!

while frozen food is available from pet shops, I highly advise feeding him live food 90% of the time, and whenever possible.

I'm aware there are a lot of people out there who just don't the concept of feeding live mice/rats to their snakes, but just imagine how much more you would enjoy a freshly cooked meal, rather than a microwaved frozen tv dinner...

Not to mention, we all know the freshly cooked meal is better for is, shouldn't we do the same for our snakes?

If you're in a country where live prey is illegal I would proceed with caution if you do go about feeding live.
