When to start feeding Small rat?!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the usually age and size for a ball python to be switched over to small rats that are about 4-6weeks old and 46-79grams. My ball python is 6months about 205grams and 20-24" and i currently have her on weaned rats and adult mice, when should i switch her over to small mice? Is it ok to switch her over now to small rats at her size? Someone wrote before that from 3 months small rats are no problem for ball pythons. So please help me decide what i should do.

I would say over 600-700 grams go for small rat. At 205 I would stick with weaned rats or even two rat pups per feeding. Thats what I do with my little guys.

my ball is 7 mo and he has been on smalls since 5 mo i think, he was about 350-75 ish grams then i think, maybe around 300, as long as the small rats arnt alot bigger then ur ull be ok, but u might wait another month, it wont hurt anything. if ur feeding every 7 days it wont hurt to wait, u dont want to have a fat ball.
