Back Heat or Belly HEat?

Building Half Dawg's model of a rack... with a few minor changes. What do yall think is the best source of heat for my babies? i plan on using 4in flexwatt. Which is best to keep accurate temps?

To me, it makes more sense to use belly heat, since it's more accessible to the snakes. It may take more work and material than back heat, but in the end, I feel like it's better for the herps. (IMO) Plus, since you use a thermostat for it, you'll know the temp of the heat as well.

Back heat!.. Hatchling rack are very small tubs, back heat allows for them to cool down if they wish..

6 of one half dozen of the other. I don't believe one is better over the other. back is an ambient style heat and belly is a direct style. Belly would likely be better in a cool room back maybe no so good in a cool room. In a warm room it likely doesn't make much difference both will work. In a failure of a t-stat back is likely safer as it simply will not get as hot. On the flip side it uses more power to produce the same temp. No clear choice here pick what makes the most sense to you.

I am thinking belly heat then... im not building my hatchling rack just yet but that will have back heat! thanks guys!
