    Jeopardy + Watson
Ok tell me your thoughts on Watson?

Everyone knows computers are faster than humans....let alone hundreds of them strung together.

Google Search engine already does what Watson does....how is this an advance?

Its voice recognition is converted to TEXT entry....

If you type that into google...you get the SAME answer in like .00038 seconds.

So Watson is just an offline search engine right? Its voice recognition is converted into TEXT....

    YOUR thoughts go below......

Watson and the Google computers are the same computing structure. Their job is to sort and filter preexisting data quickly, unlike a Traditional super computer that's job is to do billions of calculations to create and predict the out come of very complex problems..

The one down fall of Watson...he still cannot create an original thought. All he can do is recall info already given him.

I thought it was fun to watch. I only watched the last show, kept missing the time :( I don't like how so many people jumped on him for the Toronto question. In the last match I thought Ken and Brad did a pretty good job.

I'm surprised more people didn't offer their opinion... That's rare ;)
