    Confused about ovulation
I could have sworn Sadis, my normal, ovulated on the 13th. These are pictures from that day.

I could have sworn that was an ovulation. She was so uncomfortable and hard. Then last night I was checking on everyone and find her wrapped around the water dish. I tossed a male in with her and as of this morning, he's almost in a lock. He's got his tail right up against hers. I'll check on them in an hour or so to see if they've locked. Now, I read that females won't accept a male once she's ovulated, so did she just not ovulate? She's not as swollen now so I still feel like it was an ovulation. She just seemed so huge and then the next day she wasn't. Ovulation right?

(And don't mind the urate. I just haven't had a chance to go through and clean until today.)

The pic looks like an OV to me! Up until the day my girl ovulated my male would try to lock her, but she would not accept him. Have you palpated her lately? The follicles should have turned into eggs now and will feel much softer (as long as they are not slugs). Any signs of her going into shed? Keep us updated!

I put him in last night and so far he's had no luck with her. He sure is trying though. Just palpated her and could not feel follicles. She is looking less bright. Still has that glow to her but it had definitely gotten duller over the past day or so. I've got her expected shed date, and lay date marked on my calendar. :) I can't wait!

Sounds like she has one in the oven! Congrats!

Good luck to you as well Jordan. First clutches are always exciting! You'll have to post pictures!

And good luck to you too Joe! I'm getting the incubator up and running now so I can make sure the temps stay stable. Already got the egg box ready. I like to be prepared early. The wait is going to kill me though.

Thanks! I'm kind of nervous to be honest (not about the clutch), but the fact that she is due to lay the week my wife and I will be on vacation in Dubai, then the eggs are scheduled to hatch (theoretically) the week I will be on a big fishing trip!

I have been so anxious...My bator has been running since I noticed her really starting to build and i have all of the egg box supplies on stand-by! It's so exciting!

I'll definitely post pics when the eggs show up! You do the same!

She's back to her normal colors now. She's no longer glowing. :) I'm hoping for a nice clutch of fertile eggs. She was bred to my spider, so if the morph gods bless me, I'll be hatching out a morph for the first time.
