How often will my ball shed?
Also I woke up this morning and he had burrowed under his substrate. Is this normal?

There is no real set number of times a ball sheds, it will be more often as a youngster and less as it ages..
as for the burrowing.. totally normal.. mine have little tunnels in their aspen some days lol

The frequency of sheds depends on the individual, but as was stated above it'll be more often when they're young and then it'll slow down later in life. My ball used to shed about once every month (give or take) for the first few months I had him, and now it's slowing down to about once every month and a half, so you'll be able to see the changes as they age.

Think they have got the shedding part down for you.. As for the burrowing it's perfectly normal but balls really like having a good hide or two for the day light hours.. A hide on the warm end and one at the cool side of the cage will make for one happy ball:)

I have another question! I just noticed he looks like he is breathing kind of heavy, I might just be crazy but I just wanted to be sure this wasn't somethin I should be concerned about. Thanks!

They will sometimes do that when being handled, especially if they are hanging on to your arm or hand. As long as there are no wheezing, gurgling or popping noises or mucus around the mouth.
