Eating Pre killed = Eating Frozen Thawed
All but one, (My stubborn albino) is taking pre-killed great. How much of an indicator is this that they will take frozen?

    Thanks guys,

At $5 bucks a rat, I wont be able to afford live, so I'm ready to switch them now!

I have some animals I've started on F/T. They've never been offered live ever.

Just make sure its warm enough and PRE SCENT!

Also, some animals may never take F/T.

It can't hurt to try! I feed almost exclusively live, but I still have several that will take f/t when I'm running low on certain sizes. That's exactly why I breed rats. $50 a week buying rats or $20 a month breeding rats...easy choice for me!

Well, just placed placed my pickup order at big cheese. I'm going to give it a shot. I don't have the space to breed or the money to feed live. What do you recommend to pre-scent the rats with?

one of mine gobbles down p/k, but won't touch a f/t... i thaw in a bag in warm water for about an hour, changing the water about 3 times, then warm under a heat lamp... he's struck once, but won't eat 'em. i don't know what it is about them, it makes me wonder if they can pick up on the fact that it is recently killed e.g. some sort of minimal brain activity... i know this is a looney hypothesis but i can't explain it!
