    is she ready....
    She is 1400grams and around 2 1/2 to 3 years old..can i try to breed her or is she too small and is it too late in the season..some people say all year round but im not sure..please help first time trying breeding..any help would be appreciated.:confused:

    If she is ready she will breed :gj:.If you have a male thats ready put them together and let them decide :P

    If she's not a skinny 1400 grams then by all means breed her :)

    Some breed in the wild at 800 g but most captive breeders want them at 1200 g minimum but it is preferable to have them weigh considerably more. Most people start breeding in oct/nov. If they are healthy and up to weight throw them together and see if love is in the air.

    If it's your first time breeding and you are not very sure, I will say wait until the end of the year when you are more confident. And of course it's possible you will put on her another few hundred grams which will definitely make her a much better breeder. Good luck!

    Post a picture of the girl...That will give us a better idea of her length to weight ratio. Weight alone isn't all that important, it's the overall condition of the female that really matters.
