My big pied female is in shed
But every time I open the tub to remove her boyfriend, they're locked.

    Every. Time.

Should I just leave them alone?

I wish they'd, I dunno. Tie a sock on the doorknob when they're busy in there or something.

So I guess the question is: Is it okay to leave a male in with a shedding female?

shedding female shouldn't make a difference, some snakes just wont breed then. You could always seperate them then and feed the male and female onces shes done shedding
