Balls and Milk/Kings in same rack system?

Hello --

I currently have three balls in a six tub rack system. I would really like to expand and get a Milk or King. Do the different subspecies of milks and kings have different temp requirements, or are they pretty much the same across the board?

If there is a sub species of milk or king that has the same temp requirements as a ball python please let me know!

I have no idea, you might need to ask in the milk/king snake section, there is most likely a care sheet in there. If they do have different heat requirements just set up a shelf or two with a separate thermostat.

I keep Kingsnakes, Hognose, cornsnakes, and ball pythons in the same rack and have never had a problem. The cages of kings hognose and cornsnakes are generally kept cooler than ball python cagesActually, I run no heat in the top two levels of my rack.....which keeps good kingsnake temps from the heat rising from below. Invest in a temp gun for $25 and it is easy to figure out how your temperatures are working. If you can't get the temperatures right by just removing a level of heating....a dimmer on some heating or a seperate t-stat should do the trick.

corn snake and king need temps the hightest 85%. look them up please befor you buy one
