thermostat and heating help?
so ive set up my flex watt and my herpostat set my probe taped in the center of my bottom of 2 tier shelf and set the thermostat to 95* (thick sterolite tubs) and my thermo gun is only reading 78* in the tub(hot side)..the room everything is in was around 83*
any ideas why theres so much of a temp difference dif?
and where do i plug in the dimmer switch to make sure it really does its job? before the thermostat or before the powerstrip to the rack?

Okay First Off Put The Thermostat Probe On The FlexWatt Tape It Down With Scotch Tape. Then With The Temp Gun Keep Reading The Degrees And At The Same Time Raise Up The Thermostat Until You Get 90 Degrees. You Dont Need A Light Dimmer The Thermostat Is Going To Turn Off By Itself Once You Programed The Temperature. Let's First Get This Out Of The Way Before Some Else Posts And Starts Saying You Should Use Aluminum Tape Instead. There Has Been A Post Of Aluminum Tape Not Giving The Most Acurate Temperature scotch Tape Was More Acurate Than Aluminum. Go Find The Post And See For Yourselfs.:gj:

Anything reflective can mess with the reading on a temp gun.
