    jerking, hiccups?
I have a baby bp, I've had for about a month, she s been perfectly healthy but yesterday I noticed her kind of jerking, not just her head but her whole body, it looked like someone who had a really bad case of hiccups. Today she s doing it again. It's not bad just kind of making me nervous.

    Hi,

Is there anything causing it like being touched or trying to move cage furniture or anything?

Is her mouth closed and her tail raised at any time?

The first time I noticed it she was crawling around on the bed and I wasn't touching her. Other then that I've noticed it while I was holding her, and once while she was in her cage. The last time I saw it I had just put a thawed mouse in the cage but I had just walked in. So i don't know if that started it or she was already doing it.
Her mouth was closed all times I think, I didn't notice her tail.

    Hi,

And you haven't been treating her or any other animals with any chemicals or keeping her on pine or cedar bedding?

I suspect she may just be reacting that way out of fear if she is startled but it's best to try and rule out as many nthings as possible on the way to a decision. :)

no she's on ?eco-soil? and no chemicals. I don't know, She doesn't seem to pay much attention to it. When it happened while she was out I was standing a few feet away and she was busy exploring. she is still kind of skittish though. Would it make her nervous to smell my cats or something like that? I keep her room shut but the door doesn't stick very well and they try to get to her sometimes. They like to sleep on the bed in there.
