Assist Feeding and still Didnt Eat

So I know I know assist feeding is the last resort but I recently bought a YB about 2 months ago and he has lost almost 45 grams and refused to eat since i got him so i went to assist feeding. DID it VERY CAREFUL but the lil booger still didnt eat.

Temps are right humidity is right and the tub size is right on when i got him he was prolly 269g now he is about 229g. He has been eating f/t before i got him so i dont know what is going on

I have tryed all kinds of different methods and im starting to get a lil nervous and annoyed. I know this is the way of ball pythons and they are picky eaters but he is losing rat at a pretty drastic pace.

Any suggestions now that i assist fed last night how long should i rate because im sure the lil guy is stressed to the max right now but also here is the other thing he will roam around his cage like he is searching for food. aaahhhhh

Try a smaller prey size than what you usually feed, and leave it in over night or for a few hrs.

Just to double check what are your temps? (inside the hot side hide and cool side hide do you have 2 identical hides?) What are you using to measure the temps? How large is the enclosure and what is it? Have you been handling the little guy a lot? Is the enclosure in a high traffic area?

Typically small ball pythons eat well. The reasons for failing is again typically either environmental or physical. Environmental could be any aspect of husbandry, or location. Physical is something wrong with the snake, like an illness or something else. I am assuming he is not showing any wounds or burns so I figured that a check to the enclosure and double check and make sure everything is ok there. this is not a criticism just trying to get as much information about the situation as I can to help you out, hopefully.

Oh and the roaming is he doing that only at night or during the day too? Is it every night for hours or only sometimes?

Assist feeding isnt a last resort, Force feeding is.

When babies dont eat its due to cage is off somewhere. Be sure to offer food only once a week

so temp wise its about 75 to 80 ambient and about 89 hot side he is in a 12 qt tub with a hide and a water dish which is the only thing that can really fit.

Humidity is around 50% i did check for RI issue about 2 weeks ago never saw anything signs.

Also no wounds what so ever and from where I got him from was a very good breeder had all paperwork and how many times he ate shed etc. Also I never handle the snake and I mean never besides to clean out tub and change water dish

I guess i could toss him into a smaller tub but that is going to be incredibly tight i think and I know they like tight spaces but there would def be no room for hide.

O and no high traffic area very quiet actually
