    One of my girls just ovulated, but unless my record keeping is reeeeeaally bad she has only been paired 3 times :(
    think she will slug out?

    Gives me a bit of hope, think I had too much good luck from the same girl last year, she's just done it to even stuff out. :(

    They lock more than you think while your sleeping.

    I had a male in with femalebreeding figured he was bad breeder, but when eggs hatched there was his babies

    They locked every time, coz he is a good boy and i'm sure he would lock with a stick if i gave him chance. fingers crossed i guess?

    I had one girl that I only paired up once last year, and she hadn't been bred previously. A few months later she laid a clutch of eggs.

    Three locks is plenty. I had a few females last season only lock up once and the eggs were fine. Most of us in this hobby breed the females WAY more than is actually needed.
