Omg I just got my first baby bp
She is a 2010 albino and omg she is sooooo small. She weighs 125 grams and is about 15" long. I am a nervous wreck - never had one this small to care for.

Is there any special instructions for one this small. She is due to eat tomorrow but since I just got here I thought I would wait until at least Saturday before I offer - does that sound like good plan.

    All help is appreciated

    Thanks

    First of all, congratulations :)

She may look small to you, but this is a nice weight already for a hatchling. I would definitely give her a few more days to settle in and feel comfortable, before attempting to feed !

Its not that much longer, so she will not have to wait long.

The only things about them when they are so small, make sure the enclosure isn't to big and overwhelming, make sure you have minimum of 2 hides that are small enough to make her feel safe, and go slow with introducing handling, until she is comfortable with it.

Again, congrats on the new addition :)

Fist off, Congrats. on your new addition! Now as hard as it is, you should leave her alone for a good week. You can offer her food and she if she eats it, great. Or offer her it in a week. Just let her settle in to her new environment. Just make sure she has fresh water and she has a couple of hides, one at the hot side (90-93) and one on the cool side (78-82) with around 50-60% humidity.
After she has settled in, post some picts. of her, would love to see them.

    Hope this helps,

    Dave

You should be fine waiting to feed. As was already mentioned give her two hides and plenty of security, give her about a week with no handling to settle in as well. Congrats!

Maybe I was wrong to call her a hatchling - she was born in sept of 2010 and is like 5 months old.

I plan to give her time to settle in. She is sooo cute. This is my first baby - all my others were a year old when I got them. I am just amazed at how tiny she is.

I got her from Brian with bhb reptiles.

I just bought an albino from Brian about a month ago. He had a couple beautiful ones left. Please post a pic I would love to see how she is looking, and if I am still happy with the one that I chose. lol

She is doing great. She is eating awesome, every 5 days, and growing very well. When I picked her up she was about the size of yours. Now in the 6 weeks she has put on around 60 grams. My avatar pic is actually of her. I wish I could take better pictures.
