    Flex Watt Question and Ranco
Question regarding flexwatt. I hooked It all up last night let it run for awhile first to let it run. On the Ranco it is say its 88 but the in tub gauges are saying 70-75. I was wondering the proper way to get this on the same page where do other users put there probe? I just foil taped it to the tape. Once my Helix comes I will be using that to control the bottom heat and the ranco will be maintain steady heat from the top of the shelf. Incase on a cold night or something fails.

First Of All A Ranco Isnt A Thermometer The Probe Should Be On Top Of The FlexWatt. To Get 90 Degrees In Your Tubs Try To Raise The Degrees On The Ranco. With A Thermometer Check The Temperature Inside The Tub For The Hot Side If Its Still Low Raise It Up and Monitor The Degrees In The Tub If The Temperature In The Hot Side Is To High Lower The Ranco Down Until You Get 90 Degrees In The Tub.:gj:

If your temps are low double check your wire connections on the flexwatt ;)

I use clear packaging tape to tape over the t-stat probe and completely cover the probe so the ambient air temp doesn't alter it as much.

What are you using to read your temperatures?

the little digital thermometer/humidity ones I saw one of the admins post. I keep it in the middle of all my tubs.

After turning the temp up on the ranco my temps are now 84-86 and 56-60 humidity so I think I will just have to tweak with it abit.

Pumped to get my helix in the mail today though then the ranco will be mainly a backup and provide min heat.

Yes foil tape messes with it. I read a post earlier this week, somebody saying use Scotch tape or packing tape instead. So it switched mine to scotch tape and now it's even more accurate!! Thx
