How often do you feed your anaconda?
My male yellow is only 6-7 months old and roughly 4ft long. I was feeding him small rats every 7 days and hes been growing so fast i recently bumped him up to medium rats every 7 days. Hes getting big but i want to make sure its a healthy big and not an overfed big. How often do you feed your greens or yellows? Include the age of the snake and maybe list the time period you waited to bump up prey size.

I have a seven month old male Yellow Anaconda. He's right at the 3 foot mark. I started feeding once a week. At 6 months i move to once every 14 day. At a year he'll go to once every 3 weeks. Each time i changed how often i feed him i up the size. He now eat small to medium rats the same size as my 2 year old Borneo and Carpets.

I talked to Ben Renick and he told me that once a week is perfectly fine till there adult size. He even said that mediums are alright and it isnt overfeeding. I scaled him back to smalls for now because he is a touch on the soft side but still strong for his size. This is my first anaconda and havnt seen any others first hand so i dont exactly know if there sopposed to be very muscley snakes like red tails or stay on the softer side.
