    Cell phone and internet messed up
    Has any one else been having issues with there cell phone reception or internet and TV satellite reception? I live in N. central Texas and everyone in my area have been having issues all day. Just curious if its only local or if it has to do with the communication satellite.

    My phone lost reception earlier and it had never done that before where I am. My best guess is we have been having a lot of solar activity lately. 2012 is our next big solar event but they have been measuring a huge jump in solar activity over the last few weeks.

    The increase in flares is known to knock out communications. I expect it will only get worse until the sun calms down again.

    No issues in Maryland.

    Verizon Wireless=Cell Phone Provider
    Comcast=Cable Provider

    No issues here in the Tucson area and we use Cox for everything except cell phones and that is Verizon.

    Funny you say this because I am currently working on a theoretical survival retreat in case of a massive solar flare that wipes out electronics and communication :) :)
