    Help with Himidity levels.
Hey all! I have a cute little ball name Monty. My problem is, her humidity levels in her enclosure. I think the reason for this is that her tank is too big. It is a 36x17x18. I know this is way too big for a ball but it is all I have for now. Everything else in the enclosure is perfect for her. I have an undertank heater with a thermostat. The hot side of the tank is perfect temp and the cold side is a perfect temp. She is about to shed and I am constantly having to spray to keep the humidity levels between 50-60% as I have read that this is prime himidity for a good shed. My question is. Are there any tricks that I dont know about that can help maintain these humidity levels without having to spray her tank all the time? All this spraying, I am worried, is stressful to her. Are there any types of devices that I can buy to put in here tank to measure and automatically keep the humidity perfect? I also forgot to mention that I have used Tin foil and and duct tape on the top of the tank. I read a DIY on this site from someone about using tin foil for keeping heat and humidity in. I have 2 6x6 holes cut out in the top for ventilation and when she goes through shed, I cover one of them with a towel to try to keep in as much as I can. Any pointers from anyone would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance for your help. Have a wonderful day!

Yeah, I do need a smaller tank but I am looking for something that I can do for the tank I currently have. For now. I will make my air vents on top, smaller. Thanks for your input. :)

    You've pretty much covered everything.

    What substrate do you use?

I recently put cocohusk with one of my guys and it has too much humidity with the tin foil, and I'm in a reallllly dry place.

You could also try replacing all the tin foil with a damp towel.

    Re: Help with Himidity levels.
I house my BP in a 30gal tank with a screen top, I had a major humidity issue too. What I did to fix it was cut out cardboard panels, covered them with tin foil and place them on top of the screen top. I cut them so they fit perfect on top, with a space for ventilation. Its nice because you can move it around as needed to raise or lower humidity.
I also use sphagnum moss and wet it, put it in a small glass dish on the warm side. This helps it evaporate and gives off humidity. I also have a big water bowl. When my BP is in shed I will moisten some moss and place it in the hide with him (not sopping wet, dont want any scale rot or anything). This has worked amazingly for me since I started doing it and I've had perfect sheds ever since!! Good luck!

Also, I've done this with two types of substrate, reptibark and on paper towels, worked great on both.
