    Bah tstat
I have a bah 1000 tstat hooked up to my uth and i have it set to 91 degrees. I also have an acurite thermometer w/ probe to measure the hot and cool side + humidity. So if the tstat is supposed to heat until 91 degrees and then shut off then work itself back up to 91, why is my thermometer saying its at 96 right now???? I have both probes right over the uth (hot glued over uth, buried by substrate). How is this happening?

How thick is your substrate? The thick substrate over the UTH and probe can cause a raise in temps

Its about an inch thick. So do you think that the temps are actually lower than that? but the thermometer is just being affected by the substrate?
