Two New Rats
Have these two new rats that I will let grow up and will make me some really nice feeders for my snake to say wow these rats are fancy.

Those are neat. They look like really ugly beiges, with light points, almost like a reverse siamese rat.

Its hard to tell sometimes how they will end up when they are little. I have some siamese that I interbred with some of my black self rats to improve the quality of the siamese markings.
When those siamese babies are weaning size they are a golden/mustardy color and then they kind of transform into siamese rats over time...usually pretty strong markings by 8-10 weeks. At 16 weeks, when they are ready to breed, they look like a siamese rat.
So, your rats may change over time.
Good luck with the breeding.

Siamese rats/mice molt out of their dark colouring, Tom. Humidity can also effect the pattern, and successfulness of their molt. Which is why some siamese rats/mice just turn out fugly. :P
Reverse siamese rats do not have or need siamese genes, at all. They are simply poorly bred (or well bred, if you were going for reverse siamese I guess) normal colours, that do not have even saturation of colour, and have light points due to bad (or again, maybe good?) breeding of a colour. :)

If the eyes are ruby which to me looks to be the case then they might be Fawn in color.
Agouti's that match up the red eye recessive gene can make an orange rat(fawn).
If I remember correctly Beige rats tend to have pink or red eyes not ruby.

Yeah, thanks for correcting me on that, beige's do have ruby eyes or black eyes according to the rat guide.
I had champagnes in my mind for some reason :rolleye2:

Cham is what you were thinking of, yes. :D

Be careful you don't get attached to them, LOL! Rats are charmers.
