    Hi substrate question..i never used substate before..always used paper or matts.. so i got a 800 gram female and she has not ate in 3 weeks i called the guy i bought her from and he thinks it because she is on paper and not what she is use to..aspen bedding..so the question is is aspen okay or should i go with something else.. thinking of moving all my guys on to substrate.. what do u think..:confused:

    I have heard that some picky eaters will eat when switched from paper to loose substrate. But this isn't true for every snake.

    Aspen is perfectly fine to use though. I would wait a week after you change substrates before offering food again.

    Yeah, aspen is just fine for them. Give her some time to settle into the new changes before you offer food again, and then see if it makes a difference.
