Pastel Enchi girl "Ember" settling right in...
I couldn't believe how Ember settled right in. On the same day that she arrived, she took a drink and settled into her hide. That evening she had her head sticking out in the "got food ?" pose. Not shy at all ;)

Over the next couple of days she would give me that hungry stare and even wait right on the edge of the tub, to see if I had "something", so I figured I'd try to feed her along with the others on the 3rd., 2 days after she arrived. I normally wait longer, but she gave all indications of being more then ready !! So I prepared a F/T rat pup and wondered if she would go for that...
Well, 1 second after dangling it it front of her hide, WHAMM !!

Well, that went well. And wouldn't you know it, after eating it, she looked at me as if asking for more, LOL.
Today, 2 days after eating, I decided to take her out for a short handling session. She huffed a bit, but it only lasted for one second. I pick the new ones up by covering them quickly with one hand (flat palm) while scooping them up in one motion with the other. She relaxed right away and started cruising a bit, curiously. I made a coulple of pictures and put her up again after 10 minutes. She isn't shy at all, and also not aggressive, so she fits right into my collection, as the others are just like that.
And yes, once again, the pictures do her no justice, I just CANNOT wait till the weather warms up again for outdoor pics. The flash washes out the color. The yellow shows up well unlike on the others, but her yellow is actually more of a peachy tangerine color, esp. going towards the belly. That isn't showing up at all on the pictures ! I'm in love with her, she is so pretty ...
That bright orangish yellow is getting covered with the spray of darker scales, which gives it the "glowing" effect (hence her name Ember). It almost looks like a 3d effect, very pretty in person, but hard to capture.
