Couple Questions Heat Rope and Thermostat

I will be putting Heat Cable on the top of my shelfs also to make sure I maintain the heat. I was wondering if there is a big quality difference between big apples heat cable they make or the Zoo Med.

Also to control the Heat Cable I was going to buy 2 500r thermostats. Which comes to like 62.50 should I just spend the extra 80 bucks and get a Ranco or is that overkill? My main thermostat that will be controlling my heat tape is the Helix
