Finally got the baby to eat!
I posted on here awhile back about my new ball not accepting f/t and the problem kept up for about 3+ weeks. I had been offering fuzzies from petsmart that were thawed in water to room temp. The baby is only 77 grams so I couldn't understand why she wasn't hungry.

I finally went to a local reptile expert and got all the information I needed. He told me to change the substrate to cypress which he said would help with humidity and also cut the foreign smells down because a lot of the stuff you buy from big box stores is scented. Then I asked how big he usually fed his hatchings. Well that was definitely eye opening. The mice he was feeding were Huge in comparison to f/t I got from petsmart. He said his started on those out of the egg. He also told me that a little trick he used was to leave the mouse on top of the snakes enclosure on a paper plate and avoid water. He said the smell would get the snake thinking about eating at least for her it worked. I changed the substrate waited two days and then offered the larger prey and man did that get the trick done. She came out of her hide and starting scenting the air and sat right below where I had the mouse resting. Didn't take more than one little wiggle in front of her and BAM she grabbed onto it with all she had.

Thanks for reading. I was starting to get worried there for a little while ;)
