we need a breeding terms sticky
i check out pics whenever i can just to see what people have goin' on and sometimes i end up in the bp breeding section and i'm getting confused with all these unexplained terms...
i know ya'll know what your saying and what you mean cuz this is the breeding section so yeah, but i got some q's now.

    1) what are follicles? are those what the eggs are called before they're laid?
    2) what is building? is that when the eggs are developing inside the female?
    3) i have a female bp that will be 7 months old on feb. 24th...will she ever ovulate or do snakes need to breed BEFORE the females ovulate?
    4) will i see any major behavior/eating changes in my girl as she matures?

i'm noticing alot of people mentioning their snakes are fasting during breeding season. if that's the case i totally get it, hey the animals are WAY too busy trying to...get busy, lol. it's understandable, i mean, how can they think about food when they've got some snakey booty to deal with?

anyways, thx in advance for the responses to my questions. i'm merely just a pet owner with NO intentions to breed but i was just curious. my biggest thing though is whether or not i should expect some kind of behavior/eating changes as my girl matures or does that actually depend on the snake as well?

You can also click on his genetics page for a basic lesson in genetics to begin the learning there as well.
