    Hide dilemma, solved !
My Super Blast boy "Phoenix" loves his small hide dearly.
Never mind he outgrew it quickly.
He just decided he will carry it around on his back !!!

He moves it around, and as long as his eyes are hidden in there, so is he, LOL.

Ever the innovative snake , he decided to re-arrange his hides once again. After all, if you have TWO hides, why not use both of them ???
    Smart Phoenix !

Can't wait to see what he comes up with next ;)

    Thanks for looking :)

Oh my gosh, I laughed so hard when I read this! All of my young snakes look exactly like your pic...carrying their hides around like they are turtles!

I wish RBI made those hides between the small and med size!

my girl looks like a turtle with the hide boxes when she's got a full belly. she's even managed to end up with them flipped over IN FRONT of her when she moves too much. i just go in and put it back on top of her.
i'm thinking of going from the small RBI hide boxes to 2 of these...
ok sorry i cant get the image to save as .JPEG, it keeps saving as .PHP...
anyways it's the small round one at freedombreeder.com. it's only an inch bigger dimensionally then the small RBI ones and then i'm thinking about going with the medium one of these hides...

    http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...mhidebox-1.jpg

that way i'd be gradually increasing the sizes of the hides and not jumping from 5.5" to 10".
so basically i'd be going from 5.5" to 6.5" to 8.5" and then finally to the 10" RBI.

    Thanks all :)

Yes, I wish there was an "intermediate" size in the reptile basics hides. I LOVE those hides, but the jump from small to medium is quite large !

He dearly loves his small hide, so when he is moving to the bigger tub today it will have the 2 md. hides they all have, plus I'll put his small hide in there for him as well. It will feel like home for him ;)

Has anyone asked reptile basics if they would consider making a size in between ? I might look into the other hides, too, but I like the opening on the side better.

I only give one hide to my BPs in an enclosed rack system. For my large BPs over 2000 grams, I go with no hide and all do perfectly fine. I just find it to cluttered having two hides in a small area like that. Outside of winter "off feed" months, all of my BPs have had no issues eating, etc with my setup. The rack itself provides additional security but this is just just my op, feel free to disagree. Nice pic though Lu!
