Carpall's?
So as most of you know, I am into Morelia ALOT.
So, I wanted to know..
What's really the actual chances of breeding a BP and JCP..
I was thinking Normal BP to a High Yellow JCP But how much would they be worth? And if it would really be worth it...
Or my 75% DiamonXJungle to a morph BP..
Help me out here.

Re: Carpall's?
Everything you hear from most people will be a guess at best. There is also the negative stigma of hybrids in general so take that into thought. I would first start by contacting a few breeders that work with this particular hybrid and pick their brain. Good luck.

Hit up hybridhaven.net, I doubt many people here have tried that particular pairing!
If you decide to give it a shot, good luck. More people strike out on their first attempt than not, even with copulation.

I personally love hybrids, but even people who don't mind hybrids will say that carpalls really arn't that hot of a snake really. While things like carpondros are just stunning. If you want to do hybrids you might want to pick a different pairing. I would see selling carpalls being very difficult just because very few people like them. Carpet python with a ball python head, maybe if some morphs got mixed into it, might be interesting, jag x pastel or something like that.
just some things to think about

one guy just posted a new thread today of his bee BP and his Carpet locking up, i guess you could always go ask him. i think its in the general pythons section
oh ya, also i think that when you get into breeding morphs of different species to result in hybrids u have a smaller chance of any feritlity. im pretty sure if you bred a "normal" to "normal" you would have better chances

I highly doubt that, I mean "normal" is just the ones that survive the best in the wild, its still a phenotype, which is all most morphs are. I don't think it would give more or less of a chance of fertility.

I've never heard this before.

Here's a carpall. Not the greatest picture but still.

if you are planning on breeding this to sell, you should rethink it. hybrid pythons are a tough sell. there has been a carpall on kingsnake now for about a year. and i know someone who is trying the JCPXBall

I saw a pic of a spider ball x carpet hybrid the other day and it was ridiculously hot. If I weren't so against hybrids I'd definitely go about getting/making one...
