    Radiant heat panels question
So I have heard more than once on this forum that once you have a radiant heat panel, there is no need for an uth or flexwatt, is this true and if so what is the reasoning, because I assume that the radiant heat panel is only used inside custom cages to get ambient temps up, it would seem if it was enough to get the substrate temps to 90 degrees that the ambient temp would be too high. So what up?

Its not exactly like a light bulb or CHE. It radiates heat, it doesn't just heat the air, but it heats objects under it and they will heat the area around them. The air will be cooler between the RHP and the object below it. I install them in offices, schools, and hospitals a lot, maybe you have some in your work place or school? then you can see what i'm talking about.

Contact Pro Products and tell them you cage dimensions, room temp cage is in, hot side temp you want, cool side temp you want and material of cage.
They will come up a model to fit your situation the best.
    Example:
I am getting a T70 for my burm, it's 96"x36"x24". My hot side needs to be 91-92 and my cool sides needs to be 81-82. With the ambient temp of the room the cage being in not dropping below 72.
He told me I need the 165 watt model to get the results I am looking for. Cages for ball pythons would be MUCH smaller.

    Re: Radiant heat panels question
I have had Pro Products heat panels in my GTP cage's for 4-5 years now. THey work great. No complaints and they were very easy to deal with. Like already mentioned. I gave them the cage size and they set me right up with what I needed.
