Is this right?

So my Ball python has what appears to be either a mild burn or a shed coming on, but just incase i have been looking at ways to treat it and have all i need, I want to know if this is a good way to treat mild burns or is it a bunch of bull

I would just go to a qualified vet and get their opinion.

Sometimes a mild burn can heal on its own. Sometimes they need an ointment, and sometimes they need a medicated soak. This is something that a vet can determine much better than ehow.com.

I would not use the hydrogen peroxide, how severe is the burn? pics would help

First if it's a burn, you don't have a proper UTH controlling device............so go get one
Second a pic to see if it's actually a burn would be better than telling you how to treat a burn if there is nothing there.

I'm assuming you are a pretty new keeper? During the shedding process their entire belly turns a light pink color. If that's what you are seeing I would say its shedding. If the pink is only in a particular area then you are probably dealing with a burn or the beginning of scale rot-depending what it looks like. No one can really tell you what is going on without seeing pictures.

First thing I would do is figure out if your snake is shedding or if it's burned. No sense in treating it for a burn if it's just shedding. Also, are you using a heat rock (better known as death rocks), a heat pad, heat tape, heat lamp, etc. That may help to figure out if your snake is getting burned.
