How to deal with mild burn?

*Notice i said mild burn* It is not really that bad you can barley see it and as of now i am not sure if she is about to shed or it's a mild burn, but from my last thread everyone said it was a mild burn. So until it heals should i put her on paper towel and start applying neo sporin (original),???

No no neosporine. All of those triple a and neosprine things are oil based. Never put anything oil based on any herp. It softens the scales making them vulnerable for infection as well as other injury. For burns I beleive it's called silver burn creme. Someone else had suggested it in another thread. Hopefully I'm remembering right. Also get betadyne solution at any drug store and soak 1x a day in a dilutted betadyne solution water temp at 88.f. Hope this helps.

Like I said before, I really don't think you need to worry about it that much. It doesn't look like anything too serious, and your temps are nowhere near what would cause a burn. I would wait and just keep an eye on it before you start disturbing your snake and doing soaks, etc

If she doesn't start getting dull and going into shed within the week, then I would think about starting treatments :)

I agree that your thermostat might have fluctuated, because the pinkness does seem localized, but it doesn't look that bad. Just keep an eye on it and on your temps, and it should be fine.
