I started putting them together at the beginning of the month. They are seperated for 2-3 days for feeding and are put back together. All my Ball Pythons are in breeding racks and the temps are 84-86 F during the day, and 73-76 F at night.
I've kept reptiles for over 10 years (snakes for only for the past 4 years), but this is my first time attempting to breed. Not sure if I'm doing anything wrong, but the Pastels (Randy and Melina...named after 2 of my favorite WWE wrestlers lol) don't seem to want any part of each other!
Well are you 100% sure you have a male and female? Are they both of age or size to be able to breed? Is the male producing sperm plugs? They might just not like each other also.

I'm pretty sure they're male and female. The person I bought Randy from said he was already a proven breeder and I also got Melina full grown last year but she's a virgin.
And this may be a dumb question but what are sperm plugs?

Ok but i would not take someones word on the sex.It would not be the first time someone told a buyer incorrectly sex either by mistake or by them just guessing.Did you verify the sex yourself?The "sperm plug" is what a male produces when he is mature enough to breed.If you pop your male and a white stringy stuff comes out that the sperm plug :gj:.

No, I didn't. I found the snake on Kingsnake last year and the breeder said he was male and showed me some pics of the babies he produced before.

Ouch,well i think you might want to get them sexed(probed actualy) by someone that knows how.I always double check any snake i am interested in just to make sure.I am not saying the seller lied to you though.Good luck :gj:
