It's a neurological issue that is attached to the spider gene (also womas). In spiders is rarely an issue to worry about. Some can be really bad and some can seem to not wobble at all. Very few have it so bad that it's life threatening. All spiders wobble, the people who say they have a spider that doesn't wobble haven't looked at their snake close enough. My spider doesn't seem to have a wobble in the tub/while holding him, but as soon as he's around food he gets twitchy and has terrible aim. He also has taken up striking at me any chance he gets, no warning, just striking.... :rolleye2:

Long story short if you are debated on a spider don't worry about it. Some people say that they won't buy a spider or breed a spider because of the issue, but IMO it's silly. If you go by that rule you can't get any bumblebees, spinners, etc because they all have the spider gene.

I dont think it is all spiders. I have a breeder male and 2 of his offspring from last year and have genuinely never noticed any wobble. A wobble free spider was important to me when I was looking to buy one. They have perfect aim when striking as well. There are many that have a wobble and it's nothing to worry about but there are those that dont have one. I'd hold out and find one that doesn't. They are out there.
