    6qt tub question
I am looking at building or buying a rack for my ball pythons. Can anyone tell me to about what size they can stay in a 6qt tub? I hate to get that size if they are only in there for a month or 2. A the moment the ones I have range in size from 119 grams to 260 grams. Will also be looking at a 12-15 qt rack.
    Thanks for you help.

    Re: 6qt tub question
I've kept my BPs in 28qt tubs since I first got them. They all started at around 100g-130g. I've never had a snake under 500g be a problem feeder in those tubs either. As long as they have a secure hide box they are usually fine. :gj:

I agree with the above post. Make a rack that's not so age specific, I've never kept ball pythons in anything smaller than a 12 qt tub. I would go ahead make a rack around 12-16 qt or just go ahead and make one that can hold both 28 qt and 12 qt tubs.

It depends on how well they eat and act for me. I usually keep them in 6qt until 500 grams, then move them to 12-15qt tubs. Sometimes I keep them in longer if they are picky feeders.

    Re: 6qt tub question
Ok I am building a combo that holds 16 15qt tubs and 8 28qt tubs

I bought cabinet grade plywood nice and smooth and straight.
Do I need to seal the wood? If so what do I use? Will it say wood seal on the label?
