    Black throat monitor ?.
I had my 3 1/2 foot monitor (Negro) for about 8 months and he is a year and some change Negro is perfect doesn't bite a lil hiss he will whip from time to time. He has these tantrums in his enclosure temps and humidity are find but he turs his cage up any idea why he does this.

More than likely boredom or he doesn't have all of his requirements ie hides, places to burrow.

My V. ornatus spent a whole day tearing up his enclosure once, but I think he was just "horny", lol.

Monitors are destructive and blackthroats are ground dwellers. They LIKE to dig in stuff and love to destroy stuff. Mine broke 8 heat lamps in their currant cage before I got it caged off so they couldn't knock it around. And they STILL managed to knock it hard enough with a tail whip to break another one. They regularly dig up the whole substrate, or turn over the hide box. It's just what they do. They're weirdos.
