    Godzilla found in CA
    Godzilla-like creature nabbed in CA

People really need to be more astute with their reptile’s enclosures. We really don't need the publicity from things like this. We all wonder why so many laws are being put in place and our rights being taken away.

I was very pleased with the article's tone on the monitor being a pet, and how the animal control folks thought it was a pretty personable lizard.

Also, we've all seen tons of ball python escape stories. It happens once in a while. Blackthroats are REALLY strong and REALLY destructive, so I could see one prying it's way out of what seemed to be a adequote cage. I hope the owner claims him and re-enforces the caging.

The owner did claim him. I talked to a friend at prehistoric pets, and they called to find out and the owner had already come in and claimed him.

agreed seemed very neutral toward the reptile and compared the responsibilty to owning a large dog. anyways glad the owner came and claimed him. cool monitor
